Iris M. Waddilove, 84, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Nov. 14, 2017, at Manor Care Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. In honor

of Iris, a visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 17, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. A service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.

Iris was born Oct. 9, 1933, the daughter of Charles and Grace (Moore) Harris. Iris was a loving mother. Garland and Iris expressed that love to their children and by opening up their home to many foster children. She was a true people person, she loved hearing their stories and sharing her own. Iris and Garland were members of First Christian Church and founding members of New Disciples Church.

In late 2015, Iris had to move into Manor Care because of her health. During that time, she brought joy to the residents and staff alike. Every Saturday, her granddaughter, Bridget, would do her nails. Iris was so proud of them and would show them to everyone.

She inspired everyone by her sharing and caring. Iris will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Iris was the last surviving Harris family member out of a total of seven siblings. Also preceding her in death was a granddaughter, Jamie Lynn Waddilove.

Left to cherish Iris' memories are her husband of 62 years, Garland Waddilove; children, Garland Jr. "Joe" (Caroline) Waddilove, Tim (Nanette) Waddilove, Pam (Tom) Tiffany, John (Pamm) Waddilove and Jenny (Dave) Waddilove; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
