Irene Yvonne Cramer, 83, of Hiawatha passed away Friday, Aug. 26, 2022. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a,m. on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022, at Radiant Church with the funeral service starting at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Irene was born Aug. 8, 1939, to Bernard and Opal (Sexton) Reece in Storm Lake, Iowa. She married George Cramer on Nov. 21, 1958, in Creston, Iowa. Irene worked many jobs that included making wedding, birthday, and anniversary cakes, and even taught cake decorating. She also worked secretarial positions at First Assembly of God and the Cedar Rapids American Diabetes Association. Most importantly, she had the job of being a mother. She was an active member at First Assembly of God, now Radiant Church.
Irene is survived by her loving children, Sherri O’Neal, Shawn Hauskins, Daniel (Teresa) Cramer and Matthew (Robin) Cramer; along with 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George, her parents; son-in-law, Tim Hauskins; granddaughter, Lainee Hauskins; and one great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Radiant Church or Isaac Newton Christian Academy.
