Irene Elizabeth (Sedore) Mullenix passed away Monday, July 7, 2014, at home, after a long illness. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, at Marion Christian Church by the Rev. Peter Mitchell. At her request, there will be no visitation. Arrangements are with Stewart Baxter

Irene was born June 10, 1932, in Ottumwa, Iowa, to Lowell and Susie Helen Sedore. She was united in marriage to James Mullenix on Oct. 9, 1951.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, James; son, Stephen (Donna); and daughter, Pamella (Jim) Spratte.
She had five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brother, Chester Sedore of Ottumwa, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law, Marilyn Sedore; and twin grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
