Iona P. Hrdlicka, 80, of Marion, died Saturday, March 28, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospice, Cedar Rapids. Funeral service: 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 2, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, at the funeral home in Cedar Rapids. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Rodney Hrdlicka of Marion, Karen (Howard) Samek of Iowa City, Tamara (Gene Laton) Bates of Marion and Edward (Kathleen) Hrdlicka of Algona; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth (Suzanne) Campbell; and sister, Connie Lochner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; son, Douglas;
great-grand-daughter, Brisbane; brothers, Vernon and Ronald; and sisters, Barbara and Sandra.
Iona was born Oct. 18, 1934, the daughter of Melvin and Lauretta (Baker) Campbell. She married Jack Hrdlicka on Dec. 4, 1955, in Springville.
