Ingrid "Tootie" K. Jorgensen, 83, of Marion, formerly of Walford, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, May 6, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 10 a.m. until service time Saturday, at the funeral home. Private family burial: Norway Cemetery, Norway.
Tootie is survived by her children, Richard (Susan) Jorgensen of Naperville, Ill., Steve (Kimber) Jorgensen of Minnetonka, Minn., Susan "Susie" Jorgensen of Rotonda West, Fla.; grandchildren, Katherine Jorgensen of Naperville, Ill., Robert (Megan) Jorgensen of Naperville, Daniel Jorgensen of Minneapolis, and Lukas Jorgensen, both of Minnetonka, Minn.; great-grandchildren, Colin and Patrick of Naperville; a sister, Eileen Robinson of Marion; and a brother, Ivan (Mary Ann) Grabe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Rigmor Grabe; husband, Richard Dean Jorgensen; brother, Arno Kai Grabe; sister-in-law, Patricia Lillian (Poole) Grabe; and brother-in-law, Ray Robinson.
Tootie was born Oct. 25, 1933, in Dannebrog, Neb., the daughter of William and Rigmor (Rasmussen) Grabe. On Dec. 9, 1954, she was united in marriage to Richard Dean Jorgensen at Trinity Lutheran Church in Norway, Iowa. Ingrid worked for Randall Foods and was a very talented cake decorator at Barlow Foods, as well as at home. She enjoyed collecting ladybugs and had a love for bowling. Ingrid played in many national bowling tournaments. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Walford and the Red Hat Club in Atkins, and she also played in many card clubs.
Memorial donations may be made in Ingrid "Tootie's" memory to the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Iowa. Additional donations may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church, Walford, Iowa.
