Imogene T. Snell, 91, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, June 20, 2016, at her home. Funeral service: 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 23, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories with Chaplain Mike Patterson officiating. Entombment will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband, Norman; son, Mark (Shirley) Snell of Marion; daughter, Theresa Snell of Marion; siblings, Novella Cunningham of Marion, Martin Winch of Marion, Mary (Gary) Goodlove of Cedar Rapids and Merle (Lois) Winch of Hopkinton; also surviving are many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Shirley Hazelbaker; son, Norward "Bob" Snell; and a brother, Lyle Winch.
Imogene Theola Winch was born March 20, 1925, in Hopkinton, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Theresa (LeClaire) Winch. On June 16, 1945, she married Norman Maurice Snell in Belle Plaine. Imogene was a homemaker for many years. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Memorial donations may be given in her name to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 1340 Third Ave. SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403.
