ILA LEE CORKERY

Ila Lee Corkery, 77, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Regional Medical Center in Manchester.
She was born Oct. 22, 1937, at her parents' home in Wood Center, the daughter of Lee and Irma (Brockmeyer) Totman. Ila Lee attended rural country school near Wood Center and graduated from Edgewood High School.
Ila Lee lived and worked in Cedar Rapids at a telephone company. She was united in marriage to Charles Corkery on July 23, 1958. They moved to Manchester in the early 1960s. Ila Lee loved every facet of being a home-maker; she was an excellent mother and cook. She enjoyed going for drives and eating out.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Corkery of Manchester; four children, Michael (Cathy) Corkery, Kathy Corkery, Mark (Lori) Corkery and Kim Corkery, all of Manchester; three grandchildren, Anna (Matt Drees) Corkery, Gabrielle Corkery and Michaela Corkery; four stepgrand-children, April Saunders, Amanda Saunders, Greg Saunders and Ethan (fiancee, Heather Lewis) Saunders; one great-grandchild; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and her brother, Donald Vontalge of Wadena.
Ila Lee was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Arnold Vontalge.
