Ida Mae Barker, 71, of Center Point, passed away July 18, 2021, at her home. Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 24, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories with a memorial service to follow at 2:30 p.m.
Ida Mae Hanlon was born Oct. 12, 1949, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Matthew and Mary (Hein) Hanlon. She graduated from Washington High School in Cedar Rapids, Class of 1967.
Ida was united in marriage to Larry R. Barker on March 7, 1991, in Hiawatha, Iowa.
She worked for 32 years at Midland Forge. Ida loved to spend time at her cottage in Dubuque. She loved to watch and feed birds, loved fishing and loved her flowers.
Those left to honor Ida's memory are her husband, Larry; her mother, Mary Hanlon; a son, Paul B. Godwin; her stepchildren, Joshua (Joanne) Barker, Lindsay Barker and John Barker; grandchildren, Madelyn, Morgan, Mason, Makena, Ada and Samantha; sisters, Mary Jo (Bob) Votrobeck, Pattie Hanlon and Janice (Steve) Hahn; and a brother, Matthew Hanlon.
She was preceded in death by her father and a stepson, Larry Barker Jr.
