Icyle R. Logan, 99, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015, at Northbrook Manor Care Center. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lovely Lane United Methodist Church by the Rev. Gail Wilcox. Burial: Winfield and Scott Township Cemetery, Winfield. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday at Teahen Funeral Home and after 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
Icyle is survived by her daughter, Patricia (William) Stucker of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Shari (David) Swinton of Des Moines, Kevin (Laura) Stucker of Marion, Christine (Michael) Mickelson of Cedar Rapids, Michael (Teresia) Stucker of Cedar Rapids and Janna (Joshua) Heitland of Elk Horn, Neb.; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Norma Rew of Iowa City.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Lucille Sheckler; and brother, Leslie Ross.
Icyle was born on July 6, 1916, in Clearfield on her family farm, the daughter of Chester and Edna Aronhalt Ross. She graduated in 1936 from AIB College in Des Moines and then worked as a secretary, retiring in 1982.
Icyle was a volunteer at Lovely Lane Outreach Preschool and enjoyed gardening, walking, doing crossword puzzles and reading.
