Husman, Evelyn Jean
Evelyn Jean Husman, 87, of Marion, died Monday, Aug. 1, 2011, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Marion. The Rev. Kevin Jones will officiate at the service, assisted by Blair A'Hearn. Friends may call beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Interment will be held at the Oakwood Cemetery in Monticello.

Surviving are three daughters, Elaine (Les) Peterson of Decorah, Dixie (Kim) Shearer of Elkader, Betty (Gary) Young of Marion; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Earl in 2004; and two sisters, Lois Catlett and Bernice Kiburz.
Evelyn Jean Kammerman was born July 16, 1924, in Anamosa, Iowa. She was the daughter of John and Anna (Johnson) Kammerman. On Jan. 20, 1942, Evelyn Kammerman and Earl Husman were united in marriage in Kahoka, Mo. Evelyn worked in food service at Linn-Mar High School for 17 years.
She was a charter member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Marion. The most important thing to Evelyn was her family and the time she got to spend with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Evelyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed dearly by those who knew her best.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection.
