Hurst, Eva Elnora
Eva Elnora Hurst, 85, of Vinton, died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011, at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22, at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home in Vinton, with Pastor Lanette Sue Van officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, and one hour before services on Monday. Interment will be in the Garrison Cemetery.
Elnora is survived by five children: Colleen (Dennis) Messick of Newton, Melvin (Anna) Hurst Jr., Rozella (Raymond) Rouse and Larry (Janet) Hurst, all of Vinton, and Billie Jo (friend David) Murray of Ames; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established.
