Hunter CSC, Brother Donald Joseph
Brother Donald Joseph Hunter CSC was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on June 8, 1922. He died at St. David's South Austin Hospital in Austin, Texas on Sept. 24, 2013.
He entered the Brothers of Holy Cross on Aug. 15, 1945, and took the name Brother Eagan.
He taught in schools in Indiana, Massachusetts and California and was principal of schools in California and Mississippi. He was a professor of education at St. Edward's University, Texas, and later director of the Associates of Holy Cross in prayer.
Services for Brother Eagan Hunter will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Brother Vincent Pieau Residence Chapel in Austin, Texas, followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery.
