Hunt, Robert L.
Robert L. Hunt, 68, of 3718 Stoneview Circle SW, formerly of Brighton, Iowa and Cleveland, Ohio, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at Northbrook Manor in Cedar Rapids after a long illness. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Brighton United Methodist Church in Brighton. The Rev. Sallie Graves will officiate. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include three sons, Scott and Chris, both of Cleveland, Ohio, and Troy (Natalya) of Cedar Rapids; and one brother, Thomas of Washington, Iowa. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Ruslan and Katerina.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gale and Theodore; and two sisters, Judith and Rebecca.
Bob was born Sept. 25, 1942, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Lloyd and Helen (Cole) Hunt. He was a cargo handler for United Airlines for over 41 years, retiring in 2002. Bob had a variety of interests, including airplanes, but his family, especially his grandchildren, were the love of his life.
Memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society in Bob's name.
