Hug, Daniel J.
Daniel J. Hug, 53, of Cedar Rapids, died at Mercy Medical Center, Sunday, May 1, 2011. Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Palo United Methodist Church, Palo, by the Rev. John Howerton. Friends may call one hour before the service. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Robyn; daughter, Mary Katherine Hug of New Orleans; and brothers, Karl (Roz), Larry and Tim (Denise) Hug.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Daniel was born Feb. 24, 1958, in Omaha, Neb., to Donald and Jane Hug. He married Robyn on April 30, 2000. Daniel was an avid fly fisherman and hunter. He loved to fly remote control airplanes and helicopters.
