Huffman, Irene
Irene Huffman, 91, of Keswick, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at the Mahaska Health Partnership in Oskaloosa. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, at Holland-Coble Funeral Home in Montezuma. Visitation will begin after 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
Her memory is honored by her children, Janice (Keith) Tish of Deep River, Maynard (Sandra) Huffman of New Sharon and Donna Combs of Mechanicsville, Va.; a sister, Verna Riis of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Verna Walter; her husband, Elvin J. Huffman; a brother, Robert Walter; and a sister, Margaret Barnes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Gibson Presbyterian Church, Mahaska County Hospice or the What Cheer Fire Department.
