Hucker, Agnes I.
Agnes I. Hucker, 86, of Guttenberg, formerly of Hopkinton, died Saturday morning, Dec. 1, 2012, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at Kramer Funeral Home in Monticello, where a parish vigil will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friends may continue to call after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Catholic Church in Hopkinton, where the Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. John Kremer will officiate. Burial will be in the Hopkinton Cemetery.
Agnes was born Feb. 25, 1926, in Placid, Iowa, the youngest child of John and Julia (McDermott) Kirby. She attended school in the Hopkinton area. She married Edwin Lightfoot in the early 1940s and he preceded her in death. She later married Edmund “Main” Hucker on Sept. 27, 1957. Agnes' full time job was caring for Main, but she managed to own and operate three restaurants in Hopkinton over the years. Main preceded her in death in 2007.
Agnes is survived by three children, Linda Williams of Los Angeles, Calif., John (Sandy) Lightfoot of Garber and Dawn Leytem of Las Vegas, Nev.; four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both of her husbands, three grandchildren and 12 brothers and sisters.
