Richard "Rich"

Hronik, 39, passed away Aug. 4, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids due to complications of his heart. Rich was born Sept. 14, 1969, in Cedar Rapids, to Rick and Catherine Hronik.

Rich was best known for living life to its fullest. Rich viewed life as an opportunity; his entrepreneur spirit and his love for his family were his true passions.

Rich could be extravagant, but he also had a very simple side. Rich enjoyed spending evenings on the sun porch with his wife, Jade, talking about the events of the day and the upcoming birth of their second son Kingston.

Rich's spirit will live on through organ donation.

Surviving are his wife, Jade-Harper Hronick; sons, Cruz and Kingston, (due to arrive in August); his stepchildren, Jazmyn, Jaezen and Jaxson; two daughters, Gabby Wright and Marissa Pledge; his father, Rick (Naomi) Hronik; and his grandfather, Joe Hronik, all of Cedar Rapids.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Camp; maternal grandparents, Thelma Freshour and Robert Houser; and paternal grandmother, Gale Hronik.

Per Rich's wishes a private celebration of his life will be held at the family home.

A memorial fund has been established in care of Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids.
