HOWARD O. HOLTEN

Howard O. Holten, 82, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, March 12, 2016. Memorial services will be at a later date. Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Janice; his children, Julie Holten, Jaye Albaugh and Nikki Dvorsky, all of Cedar Rapids, Lane Holten of Atkins, Jeffrey Holten of Vinton and Shane Holten of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Marie Frana of Decorah; and a brother, Martin Holten of Cedar Rapids. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Tony Holten.
Howard was born Jan. 7, 1934, in Calmar, Iowa, the son of Martin and Elma (Hoff) Holten. He married Janice Thorson on April 22, 1956, in Calmar. Howard worked many years in construction and served in the Army during the Korean War.
