Houck, Aline J.
Aline J. Houck, 86, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospital. Services: 2 p.m. Friday at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories by the Rev. Rick Gail of the First Assembly of God. Interment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after 1 p.m. Friday.
Surviving are four daughters, Mary (James) Klinger, Kaye (John) O'Deen and Penny (Roger) Mrstik and Bernice Farley; two sons, John Henry Houck and Garry Dwight Houck, all of Cedar Rapids; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry; three brothers; and two sisters.
Aline was born Jan. 30, 1927, in Hitchins, Ky. to Bert and Myrtle Sparks and was married to Henry “Cob” Houck on Oct. 7, 1948, in Ashland, Ky. She was a member of the First Church of the Open Bible. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
