Hotle, Keith E.
Keith E. Hotle, 81, of 3095 McGowan Blvd., Marion, died Friday, July 27, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, after a long illness. Graveside services: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. There will be a Celebration of Life service, with military rites, at Marion American Legion Post 298 from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday. Survivors include his wife, Beverly; a son, Alan of Jackson Hole, Wyo.; a daughter, Anne Vander Sanden of Marion; two sisters, Ruth (Virgil) True of Oregon and Kate (Robert) Ross of Washington, Iowa. He is also survived by four granddaughters, Jennifer, Melanie, Nichole and Sarah; five great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Jean Hotle of Idaho; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and eight brothers and sisters.
Keith was born May 27, 1931, in Washington, Iowa, the son of William and Odessa (McNeese) Hotle. He married Beverly A. Rosenstiel on Feb. 4, 1953, in Marion. Keith was a route salesman for Home Town Dairies and retired from there in 1988, with more than 33 years of service. After retirement Keith worked part time for Evans Enterprises for 13 years.
He was a member of Marion American Legion Post 298 and proudly served in the Army during the Korean War. Keith enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, camping, traveling with Bev, and especially the time he spent with his beloved family and many friends.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
