Hotchkiss, Angela M.

Angela M. Hotchkiss, 50, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Iowa City, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City, where visitation will be from 4 p.m. until service time Monday. Angela Marie Frantz was born July 21, 1961, in Iowa City, the daughter of Harold and Delight (Turecek) Frantz. She attended Iowa City schools, graduating from West High School in 1979. She has worked as a bartender for a number of places, including the VFW and the Eagles Lodge; she also worked for NCS as a data entry person. Angela enjoyed her free spirit in this world, she collected frogs, living ones and others, she loved all types of music, had been a member of the VFW, but most of all, she so loved her family.

Her family includes her husband, Mike Hotchkiss, whom she married this past June 11 in Cedar Rapids. Other family includes her children, David Frantz (Pamela Elliott) of Cedar Rapids, Michelle Frantz of Lisbon, Denise Fountain of Cedar Rapids, and Donielle Fountain of Iowa City; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Tracy Frantz of West Branch, and Mark Frantz, Kathy Tinkle and Steve Frantz, all of Iowa City,

She was preceded in death by her parents.
