Horsey, Joyce L.
A celebration of life for Joyce L. Horsey, 79, of Washington, who died Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, at Washington United Methodist Church in Washington, Iowa, with Pastor Jim Stiles officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Visitation will be Monday, June 10, from noon until 6 p.m. at Beatty Funeral Home in Washington, where the family will greet friends from 4 to 6 p.m.
Survivors include her husband, David of Washington; two sons, Kyle Horsey of Washington, Iowa, and Guy and wife Andrea Horsey of Cedar Falls; one grandson, Ryan Horsey; two stepgranddaughters, Meredith and Hannah Roethler; and her mother-in-law, Thelma Horsey of Washington, Iowa.
Preceding Joyce in death were her parents.
A memorial fund has been established for the Ryan Horsey College Fund.
