Hornsby, Roger Allen
Roger Allen Hornsby, emeritus professor of classics at the University of Iowa, died Oct. 20, 2009, at his home in Iowa City. He was 83. Cremation has taken place. The remains will be interred in Toronto with those of his wife, Jessie. A memorial service will be Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. in the Senate Chamber, Old Capitol Museum, the University of Iowa.
Donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice or to the Hornsby-Holtsmark Travel Scholarship Fund administered by the University of Iowa Foundation.
