Hora, Cindy S.
Cindy S. Hora, 40, of Oxford, died suddenly on Christmas morning, Saturday, Dec. 25, 2009. Funeral services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Oxford United Methodist Church. Burial: Oxford Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. today at the church.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Cindy's memory.

Cindy Sue Hora was born Oct. 31, 1969, in Iowa City, the daughter of George D and Sandy K. (Madden) Hora. She attended Clear Creek Schools, graduating with the Class of 1987. For many years, she worked at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics before she had to retire because of health reasons. She was a member of the Oxford First Responders, coached cheerleading for Clear Creek Schools, was chapter president of IDF (Immune Deficiency Foundation), was a foster mother, played softball, and enjoyed camping; but most of all, she loved her family and everything she could do with them.
Her family includes her mom and best friend, Sandy; daughter, Jazmine Hora at home; siblings, Becci Potter (Gary) of Amana, George Hora Jr. (Edith) of Iowa City, and Mark Hora (Kim) of Oxford; ten nieces and nephews, Breanne, Maddi, and Amber Potter, Jessica, Jessey, and Christine Hora, Beth, Mark Jr., Tim, and Bob Hora; two great-nephews, Chase and Chane Hora; special aunts, Beverly Rickels of Lost Nation, Dorathy Hora of Tipton, and Cathy Fisher of Iowa City; and of course her faithful companions, Scooby and Precious.
She was preceded in death by her father, George; and a nephew, Matt Potter.
