Holmes, Kevin Chris
Kevin Chris Holmes, 55, of Anamosa, died Sunday, April 3, 2011, in his home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 7, at Wayne Zion Lutheran Church, rural Monticello. The Rev. Bob Wessels will officiate at the service. Internment will be at the Wilcox Cemetery, rural Viola. Friends may call from 3 to 7 Wednesday at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa.

Surviving are his mother, Dorothy Holmes of Marion; four children, Kip Wilson of Amber, Hattie Holmes of Central City, Ameila Holmes of Central City, and Jamie Raymond of Anamosa; four grandchildren, Dylan, Kaydance and Trevin Wilson and Alayna Kula; and special friend, Lisa Smith of Amber.
He was preceded in death by his father, Chris Holmes.
Kevin Chris Holmes was born May 5, 1955, in Anamosa, Iowa. He was the son of Chris and Dorothy Neal Holmes. He was a 1973 graduate of Anamosa High School. He worked for more than 25 years at Energy Manufacturing in Monticello. Kevin was a member of Wayne Zion Lutheran Church, National Rifle Association and past member of the Anamosa Bowhunters. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and hunting for mushrooms.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
