Holly Jane Yirkovsky, 50, of Marion, died of lung cancer Friday, Aug. 21, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. There were no services.
Survivors include her significant other, Ralph Kane; children, Travis Harris, Nicole Harris, Crystal Harris, Cody Hankey/ Schmidt and Dakota Hankey/Schmidt; brothers, Johnny and Ronnie Yirkovsky; sisters, Mary Merwin, Dafney Yirkovsky and DeAnn Yirkovsky; grandchildren, Isaiah Harris, Cierrah Harris, Tayton Harkness and Letti Rodgers; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Marilyn and Darrell Yirkovsky; grandparents; and a nephew, Ronald Yirkovsky Jr.
Holly had a way of touching every single person she had encountered with her beautiful and everloving soul. She had a place in her heart for everyone and always went out of her way to help who she could with what she had. Never mattered who you were, if she could help, she would. She had a heart of gold, there's no question in that. Holly always had fun and was the life of the party, no matter who she was with or where she was. She enjoyed time with family and friends, camping, fishing, grilling out and playing bingo. If it involved being outside, she was there.
Your presence we miss. Your memories we treasure. Love you always, forgetting you never. You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide. Although we cannot see you, you're always at our side.
She flies with wings she never knew she had.
