Holliday, Diana K.
Diana K. Holliday, 67, of Marion, died Saturday, July 23, 2011, at Living Center West in Cedar Rapids following a brief illness. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call at the chapel after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. Inurnment will take place at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories Mausoleum.
Surviving are her daughters, Stacy Rouse and husband Dan of Kingman, Kan., and Debra Steele and husband Craig of Fort Worth, Texas; her sister, Debbie Fields and husband Dewayne of Marion; her lifelong partner, Elias “Sonny” Faust of Marion; her close friend, Donna Yanda of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.
Diana Kay Holliday was born Aug. 22, 1943, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Robert L. and Adeline F. (Harrelson) McLaud. She attended Kirkwood Community College and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She later worked at Rockwell Collins as a production specialist.
“Lady Di,” as she was often referred too, will forever be remembered for her enjoyment of talking on the phone with friends and family, going out to dinner, movies and meeting new people. Above all, her greatest enjoyment was her family and friends.
She will be greatly missed.
Memorial donations in Diana's honor may be made to the American Cancer Society.
