Hogan, Nadine
Nadine Hogan, 75, of Independence, formerly of Winthrop, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, after a sudden illness. Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 13, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Winthrop. Burial: St. Patrick's Cemetery, Winthrop. Visitation: 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday and until 10:30 a.m. Monday at Fawcett Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Winthrop, where a Scripture service begins at 5 p.m. Sunday.
Surviving family includes her husband, Mark of Independence; six daughters, Joan (Dennis) Sommerfelt of Walker, Carol (Mike) Williams of Merrill, Robin (Ron) Kress of Quasqueton, Christine (Stewart) Bagley of Independence, Michelle (Don) O'Brien of Belle Plaine and Melissa (Kevin) Bergom of Belle Plaine; three sons, Mark (Jackie) Hogan of Cedar Rapids, Dean (Sue) Hogan of Independence and Pat Hogan of Mediapolis; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Norma Jean Young of Waterloo, Bev Scott of Dysart, Loretta Micken of Arizona and Diane Lambirth of Arizona; and two brothers, Kenneth Kearns of Arizona and Clarence Kearns of Oskaloosa.
