Hofferd, Regina M.
Regina M. Hofferd, 88, of Heritage Nursing and Rehab, died there Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, after a long illness. Funeral Mass: 2 p.m. Monday at All Saints Catholic Church. Entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, where there will be a vigil service at 1:30 p.m.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; three daughters, Susan (Bob) Avis of Springville, and Patricia (Cedric) Brownfield and Christine Hofferd, both of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Brad Avis, Craig Avis and his fiancee, Kori, and Andrew and Evan Brownfield; and two sisters-in-law.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Regina was born March 18, 1922, in Ryan, the daughter of Andrew and Rose (Trainor) Weber. She married Robert C. Hofferd on May 11, 1946, in Cedar Rapids. Regina was a homemaker and a faithful member of All Saints Catholic Church, where she was a member of St. Margaret's Circle. She enjoyed playing bridge, reading, doing volunteer work at Mercy Medical Center, and especially enjoyed the time spent with family and friends.
Memorial donations may be given to Hospice of Mercy or the All Saints Building Fund.
