Alberta F. Hoff
Alberta F. Hoff, 98, of Lincoln, Neb., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, July 25, 2009, at her Lincoln retirement home, the Legacy, following a short illness. Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after 10 a.m. Friday. Reception: Following burial at the Cedar Memorial Park Family Center.
Survivors include her son, Richard and wife, Kay of Lincoln, Neb.; two grandchildren, Wendy and husband, Patrick O'Brien; and great-grandchildren, Zack, Abby, and Bradley, all of Lincoln, Neb.
Alberta was born April 13, 1911, near Center Point to Edward and Nancy Newman Gott. She married Elmer Hoff on July 6, 1935, in Dixon, Ill. and was a lithographer for Collins Radio Co. (Rockwell) from 1952 to 1972. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer in 1999; brothers, Rolland and wife Clarabelle; Clifford and wife, Irene; and sister, Bernice and husband, Wilbur Mason. She moved to the Legacy in Lincoln with Elmer in 1996 to be near their family.
