Hill, Jill M. Shaver
Jill M. Shaver Hill, 55, of Iowa City, died Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 31, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Iowa City. The Rev. Mel Schlachter will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Trinity Episcopal Church. Lensing Funeral Service in Iowa City is assisting with arrangements.
Jill was born June 27, 1956, in Bloomington, Ind., the daughter of Robert and Beryl (Burt) Shaver, and grew up in Bloomington. After high school she earned her LPN license and worked in the health care field. In later years she enjoyed expressing her unique creativity as a collage and assemblage artist.
Jill is survived by her son, Will Moorman; and brother, Bruce Shaver of Indiana; brother, Mark (Carol) Shaver of New York; sister, Joanne Shaver of Iowa City; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents preceded her in death.
