Hilda H. Stoelk, 98, was a resident of Woodland Park Assisted Living in Anamosa. She passed away on Friday, Dec. 2, 2022, at UnityPoint-St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
Her graveside service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, at 11 am. at Oakdale Cemetery in Wilton. Dawson Funeral Services in Wyoming is assisting the family.
Hilda Helen was born on May 9, 1924, to Arthur and Augusta (Dohrmund) Giese on a farm in Muscatine County Iowa. On Sept. 22, 1940s she was united in marriage to Paul A. Stoelk at Zion Lutheran Church in Wilton, they were married for 65 years. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Davenport. For many years she owned and operated an antique clothing store called Trash Can Annie. She enjoyed crocheting and playing Bingo.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Barb (Miles) Loy of Wyoming; two grandchildren, Brian (Laura) Loy of Wyoming and her daughter Mindy, Dr. Kristy (Jill) Loy of Oregon; two half-sisters, Nancy Hammerich of Wilton and Linda Zirmiller of Missouri; and a half-brother, Kenny (Sharon) Lincoln of Wilton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; four brothers, Arthur, Lee, Harris and Elwood; and one sister, Viola.
