Heyer, Garnet Louise
Garnet Louise Heyer, 88, a resident of Garnett Place Retirement Community, died there Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011. A private family visitation and burial will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery on Sept. 10.
Garnet was born Jan. 26, 1923, to Albert D. and Lavanda P. (Bell) Fabor in Honeycreek Township, Iowa. She married Bernard E. Heyer Sr. on April 3, 1948, in Cedar Rapids.
She is survived by three children, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent in her name to Hospice of Mercy.
