Heusman, Gene Gregory

Gene Gregory Heusman, 44, of Cambridge, Minn., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 22, 2010.

He was born Jan 17, 1966, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Eugene and Carol (Spjut) Heusman. Gene grew up in Cedar Rapids, where he graduated from Regis High School in 1984. After high school, he moved to Arizona and worked for a trucking company driving truck. While in Arizona, he had three children, Gene, Krista and Brianna, whom he helped raise. In 1999, he moved to Cambridge, Minn., where he worked at Motek Engineering, later Team Industries for many years.

Gene enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, the outdoors, cars and Harley-Davidson motorcycles.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandmother, Verla Wold, both in 2003.

Gene in survived by his children, Gene, Krista and Brianna Heusman, all of Phoenix; his mother, Carol Ford of Cambridge; brother, Brian and wife Cathy Heusman of Buckeye, Ariz.; nephew, Robert Heusman; nieces, Brittany, Katlyn and Emily Heusman, all of Buckeye, Ariz.; as well as many other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were with the Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Cambridge.
