Herdliska, Lois Mae
Lois Mae Herdliska, 76, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Graveside Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Dave Higdon officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include her children, Mark (Julie) Herdliska of Norway, Julie Herdliska of Kalona, Terri (Scott) Kilts of Cedar Rapids, and John A. Herdliska of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Jennifer, Duane, Doug and David; great-grandchildren, Kaylynn, Hunter and Madison; and a brother, Wayne Byers of California.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother.
Lois Mae Byers was born April 30, 1936, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Kenneth and Clara (Hansen) Byers. On June 3, 1956, she married John M. Herdliska in Cedar Rapids. He died in 1990. Lois was a homemaker, enjoyed playing bingo and needlepoint. She enjoyed being with her family and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
