Hepker, Mariann F.
Mariann F. Hepker, 72, died Wednesday morning, Feb. 2, 2011, at her home near Coggon. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Winthrop, where friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time. Burial will be at a later date.
Mariann was born April 30, 1938, in Toledo, Iowa, the daughter of Leo and Bessie (Izek) Hepker. She attended Toledo schools and was united in marriage to Don Charles Hepker on June 13, 1964, in Davenport, Iowa. She farmed and milked cows in the Center Point area until her husband's retirement from Wilson Foods in Cedar Rapids. They then moved to the Coggon area to continue farming on a smaller scale. She loved gardening, farming, and taking care of her family.
She is survived by her husband, Don; a son, Rick (Connie) Kaufman, Central City; two daughters, Liza (Ira) Parzik, Rowley, and Lori (Jack) McMurry, Hiawatha; a stepdaughter, Valorie Tolefson, Bonaparte; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; four brothers, Melvin Kaufman, Winthrop, Leroy Kaufman, Farmington, N.M., Larry Kaufman, Center Point, and Gary Kaufman, Toddville.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
