Hepker, James Russell
James Russell Hepker, 83, of Republic, Mo., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, at Shangri La Rehab, Blue Springs, Mo. Services will be held at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of the Forsyth (Mo.) Whelchel Funeral Chapel.
He was born May 26, 1928, in Urbana, Iowa, the son of Walter and Leta Hepker.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Hepker of Taylorville, N.C., and David Hepker of Blue Springs, Mo.; two sisters, Maxine Relf of Vinton and Delores Winn of Walker; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernadine Florence Hepker; five sisters, Dora Hepker, Dorothy Schmitz, Norma Cook, Geraldine Frey and Mary Helen Zieser; and seven brothers, William “Lloyd,” Robert, Leonard, Vern, Herman, Ralph and Theron.
