Henry Paul Wiskus Jr., 82, of Tipton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at Simpson Memorial Home, West Liberty. Visitation will be at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton, on Sunday, April 17, from 2 to 5 p.m. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 18, also at Fry's.
A memorial fund in Henry's honor has been established.

Henry's journey began Dec. 12, 1933, in Rock Island, Ill., where he was born to Henry and Eunice (Wagner) Wiskus. He attended and graduated from Tipton High School with the class of 1951 before serving his country in the Air Force from 1952 to 1956. In 1955, Henry married the love of his life, Vivian Florence Wiskus. Together they lived in Tipton and raised their four children: Vickie, Jerry, Mark and Marlin.
Henry's years of employment following his honorable discharge from the Air Force were spent working in Tipton for the U.S. Postal Service for 36 years.
Henry had a passion for collecting various items, gardening, sitting in his garage on warm summer days and driving around visiting and sometimes pestering people on his golf cart. He was a member of the Tipton V.F.W. and First United Methodist Church. He also was a past member of the Moose Lodge.
Henry is survived by his four children, Vickie (Rob) Byrd of Tipton, Jerry (Deb) Wiskus of Winter Park, Fla., Mark (Shellby) Wiskus of Tipton and Marlin Wiskus of North Liberty; sisters, Bernice Jones, Pat (Harold) Husman and Terry (Jim) Jefferson; brother, Wes (Janet) Wiskus; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Sandy Paulsen.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brother, Larry; and brother-in-law, Rod Jones.
