Henry Bemrose, 70, died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017, at his home following a sudden illness.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, with interment in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Surviving are four children, Tim (Angelich Fenton) Bemrose, Strawberry Point, April (Eric) Smith, Olathe, Kan., Amy Dieckmann, Chillicothe, Mo., and Abby (Jon) Massey, Greeley, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; and three sisters, Marilyn Wolfe, Monticello, Jean Van Pelt, Spirit Lake, and Linda (Sam) Tarbox, Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Adam; and a brother, Raymond.
Henry Levi Bemrose was born Sept. 12, 1947, in San Bernardino, Calif., the son of Albert and Joyce Appleby Bemrose. Henry graduated from Monticello Community Schools in 1967. Before he graduated, he had started working at Energy Manufacturing. Henry was employed there for 40 years until his retirement in 2007.
Henry had been married to Evelyn Forsythe and Sally Switzer, with both marriages ending in divorce.
Henry was a member of the Monticello Eagles Club. He loved to go hunting and fishing. He especially loved to watch old Western movies.
