Henning, Clayton Michael
Clayton Michael Henning, 26-day-old son of Emily and Marcus Henning, passed on June 24, 2011, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Including his parents, he is survived by his grandparents, Dan and Sharon Henning of Calmar and Tim and Patty Linden of Solon; uncle, Michael Henning of Calmar; aunts, Michelle and Jennifer Linden, both of Solon; cousin, Cadence; and great-grandparents, Bob and Dorothy Henning of Ossian, Arlene Huinker of Calmar, Delores Conolly of Moville, Bill and Kathy Linden and Barb Linden. He is also survived by his “puppy brother,” Tacoma.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandfathers, Robert Huinker and Jim Conolly.
Clayton was welcomed to the world by his parents on May 29, 2011, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Over the last month, he was treated by the staffs of University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and St. Luke's Hospital.
The family wishes to thank those doctors, nurses and staff members for their caring and compassionate care provided to Clayton and his family. Emily and Marcus would also like to extend deep appreciation to all of their close friends and family for their support and comfort that was extended to them.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the memorial fund established in Clayton's honor.
