Henecke, Margaret L.
Margaret L. Henecke, 91, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, at Meth-Wick Community, Cedar Rapids. Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Family will greet friends from noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Cathy (Harry) Hardman of Cedar Rapids and Charles “Chuck” Henecke of Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, William Filson of Cedar Rapids and Jim Kirby of Kingsport, Tenn.; and son-in-law, Edward Ray of Springfield, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer Henecke; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; daughter, Carolyn Ray; and sisters, Dorothy Salow and Pauline Hadenfeldt.
Margaret was born Oct. 5, 1922, daughter of Paul and Virgie (Weaver) Filson. She worked at Rockwell Collins for over 23 years. Margaret married Elmer Henecke on Aug. 18, 1941, he later passed in 1973. She was a member of the Holy Redeemer Church in Cedar Rapids.
