Hendrian, Kenneth G.
Kenneth G. Hendrian, 66, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, of natural causes. Services: 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 1, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids by the Rev. Jerry Doellinger. Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Military honors provided by American Legion Post 727 Honor Guard.
Ken was born in 1943, in Decatur, Ill., and is one of five children born to Walter and Marie (Culp) Hendrian. Ken served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Ken was employed by ADM Corn Sweeteners and retired in 2009, after 30 years.
Ken was married to his wife, Marilyn, and they had four children, Deanna (Jeff), Patrick, Sarah (Tony) and Phillip (Holly). They also have three granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Taylor and Abby, and a fourth grandchild on the way.
Ken is survived by his mother; his siblings; his wife; and his children.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter; and son, Patrick.
Ken was enjoying retirement. He loved spending time with his family, camping, riding his motorcycle, and he loved the outdoors. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, where he worked on the trustee's board. Ken was an avid NASCAR fan.
Ken touched many lives and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Ken.
