Kenny was born Feb. 11, 1922, near Central City, Iowa. His parents were Lawrence (L.D.) and Lena Henderson. He attended school at the rural Little Red Schoolhouse through 8th grade and graduated from Central City in 1941. He
married Doris Price on Nov. 19, 1941.
He lived his dream of being a successful farmer. He and Doris farmed near Cass Center in Jones County raising registered Holsteins. He was a sharp card player; 500 was his favorite. He enjoyed dancing, especially at Prairiemoon Ballroom in Prairieburg. In later years Ken had time to pursue his love of horses by having a team of ponies, attending his grandchildren's horse shows, and accompanying his grandson, Chad, on some of his farrier jobs.
Doris and Ken also took several bus tours to see the country and to visit with new friends on those tours. St. Paul's was his longtime church home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family; designations to be decided later.
