Helmrichs, Gary 'Otis'
Gary “Otis” Helmrichs, 60, of rural Manchester, died Saturday, June 9, 2012, at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, at Golden Congregational Church, rural Ryan. Interment: Golden Cemetery, rural Ryan, with military honors. Visitation: 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester and 1 1/2 hours before the service at the church on Wednesday.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley of rural Manchester; two children, Harmony Helmrichs of Cedar Rapids and Jamie Helmrichs of Manchester; three grandchildren, R.J. Helmrichs, Jada Helmrichs and Janaeyah Helmrichs; and his mother, Betty Helmrichs of Manchester.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, George; father-in-law, James R. Shover; and three nephews, Jeremy and Jerald Shover and Kollin Kehrli.
