Heller, Wilma M.
Wilma M. Heller, 90, of Kansas City, Mo., formerly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, at Kansas City Hospice House. Funeral Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20, at Hillside Wesleyan Church by Pastor Dick Ernst. Visitation will be one hour before the service Friday at the church. Burial: 3 p.m. Friday at Round Point Cemetery, Agency, Iowa. Arrangements are by Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia (Mike) Cusimano of Pleasant Hill, Mo.; grandchildren, Laura (Brett) Sperry, Lisa (Joshua) Stock, Kevin (Kelly) Heller, Rory (Pam) Heller, Toni Jo (Howard) Ross, Barbara Heller and Larry Allbones; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Also surviving, a very special niece, Diane (Terry) Glenn of Kansas City and her family.
Wilma was born Nov. 28, 1923, in Des Moines County, Iowa, the daughter of Earl and Inez (Bentley) Hill. On April 27, 1946, she married Russell Heller in Morrison, Ill. He died in 1982. Wilma loved children. She was a foster parent, enjoyed chaperoning the church youth group and worked as a nanny for many years. She was also a past member of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Ted and Larry Heller; siblings, Florence, Keith, Wayne and Joan; and stepchildren, Tony Heller and Joyce Schmidt.
Memorials are suggested to Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House or Kansas City Hospice House.
