HELENJEAN MCMULLIN DEGROOTE

Helenjean McMullin DeGroote, 90 years old, passed away Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015, at Mercy Medical
Center.
While most of her life she lived in West Des Moines, Helenjean spent the last 12 years living in Cedar Rapids and Marion. For the last six years, she lived at Bickford Cottage in Marion.
She is survived by her five children, Richard McMullin of Bethesda, Md., Kathi Pudzuvelis (John) of Cedar Rapids, Tom McMullin (Holly) of Minnetonka, Minn., Michael McMullin (Melinda) of Greenbelt, Md., and Susie Weis (Doug) of Roslyn, Wash. Her loving family includes nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Helenjean was preceded in death by her parents, her two spouses and her dearest niece, Katelin McMullin, who passed away last year from cystic fibrosis.
A memorial Celebration of Life will be held on Helenjean's birthday, June 4, in West Des Moines.
