Helen Rose was born Sept. 29, 1923, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Joseph Francis and Rose Frances Trzil Pisarik. Helen had a love of music and would play the piano by ear. She enjoyed her flowers and quilting, and don't forget her love of the Iowa Hawkeyes. She was often seen leaving the room during games if the Hawks were losing for fear that she was jinxing them.
Helen's true love was spending time with her family. She took great pride in the accomplish-ments of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy and ARNPs Rhonda Bridgewater and Sara Butler at Mercy Medical Center for the wonderful attention, care and support they provided Helen and her family.
