Helen L. (Grant) Macaulay, 78, of Holland, Mich., went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and other loved ones in heaven on Jan. 27, 2015, at home due to leukemia.
She was born July 1, 1936, on a farm in Dundee, Iowa, to parents, Ralph and Gladys Grant. Helen graduated from Edgewood High School and Cedar Rapids Business College. She attended Multnomah School of the Bible in Portland, Ore.
Helen was a bookkeeper at Gordon Fennell Co. and also worked at Cedar Rapids Transfer and Storage Co., Henderson Manufacturing Co., and Pratt AV & Video, Cedar Rapids.
She was a counselor, secretary and registrar at Word of Life Bible Camp in Pottersville, N.Y. (Schroon Lake).
Helen Grant married Allen Macaulay on May 9, 1970, at First Congregational Church, Edgewood. Church memberships included First Congregational Church, Edgewood; Good News Baptist Church and Caleb Club, Cedar Rapids; Grace Baptist Church and Hill Toppers, Marion; and Rose Park Baptist Church, Holland, Mich.
Her hobbies were traveling, scrapbooking and reading.
Survivors include her husband, Allen Macaulay; brother, Gene Clark; nephews, Joe Clark, Steve High and Todd High (Karla) and family; and niece, Kimberly Loeffler (Patrick) and family.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Roy Clark; brother, Gerald Grant; sister, Genevieve High; sister-in-law, Nancy Clark; and brother-in-law, Don High.
There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Jan. 30 at the Edgewood Cemetery. A celebration of Helen's life memorial service will be at 11 a.m. at Edgewood Bible Church in Edgewood.
