Helen L. "Bubbies" McElhinney (nee Jilek), 89, died Dec. 4, 2017. She was born on July 31, 1928, in Ely, Iowa.
Helen was the beloved wife of Ralph McElhinney; the loving mother of James (late Jill) Jilek, Robert (Laurel) Jilek, Joyce (Dr. Joseph) Bayma, Joe (Dr. Joyce) Jilek and the late Daniel, survived by his wife, Joy Jilek (Allen); grandmother of 13; and great-grandma of 17.
She is survived by two sisters and a brother.
A memorial gathering will be held on Dec. 23 at 10 a.m. until time of memorial Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church, 2675 John R (north of Auburn Rd.), Rochester Hills, Mich.
