Helen Marie Farrington, 91, of rural Olin, died Thursday, March 8, 2018. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2018, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon. Visitation: 2 to
5 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2018, at the
funeral home. Burial: following services at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsville.
She is survived by her children, Gordon (Wanda), Norman (Deb) and Gloria (Frank) Dohmen of Mechanicsville and Elaine (Dean) Anderson of Tipton; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and eight in-laws.
Helen was born on the Platner family farm on
Aug. 16, 1926, to Howard and Hazle (Miller) Platner. Helen married Glenn Farrington on Aug. 21, 1948. Helen was a devoted and caring farm wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed baking and gardening.
Preceding Helen in death were her parents; husband; and siblings.
Memorials may be directed to Mechanicsville Ambulance and Fire or Care Initiatives Hospice.
